Israeli troops confiscate a private car in Tell - Nablus Governorate

Description:

In the early morning hours of November 20 , Israeli troops raided Tell town , and broke into Fadi Aseda’s home (38).

The Israeli troops searched Fadi’s house, sabotaged his furniture, terrorized his children and confiscated his car.

Fadi Aseda who works as an instructor in An-Najah National University told LRC observer:

“Israeli troops broke into my house 2:00 am, and violently searched it and terrorized my children.

Before leaving, they confiscated my car “Polo Volkswagen 2011” and handed me a confiscation military order. In the early morning I hired a lawyer, the Israeli court session was set in December 20 to decide the fate of the car.”

Noteworthy, Israeli violations monitoring section in LRC documented 395 Israeli troops’ raids into Palestinian homes only in Nablus governorate from the beginning of 2018 until the date of writing this report, other than confiscating 5 cars and robbing golden jewelries and money during the break-ins.

About Tell[1]:

3 kilometers south Nablus, Tell is surrounded by Sura and Nablus city (north), Fara’ata , Jit and Imatin (west), Burin and Nablus city (east) , Assira Al-Qibaliya, Zita, Jamaen and Madma (south).

Tell has a population of (5,162) people in 2017 census.

Bypass 60 devoured 380 dunums.

Oslo convention classified the land into:

  • A area (6,886) dunums.
  • B area (6,683) dunums.
  • C area (3,119) dunums.

Tell consists of 4 main clans: Asida, Hamed , Ramadan and Shteyeh.

LRC sees that raiding Palestinian homes and sabotaging Palestinian properties as a clear violation of international conventions and laws like:

Article 12 of the universal declaration of human rights 1948:

  • No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.

Article 17 of Universal declaration of human rights 10 –Dec- 1948:

  • No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.
