2020-03-23

Violation: settlers use Palestinian lands illegally.

Date: March 23rd 2020.

Location: Khallet An-Nahleh- Wad Rahal/ Bethlehem.

 Perpetrators: settlers of Efrat.

Victims: land owners in the targeted locations.

 Details:

Monday, March 23rd 2020, a group of fanatic settlers raided Khallet An-Nahleh in Wad Rahal village in Bethlehem, through setting up caravans and opening a colonial road.

This violations comes in light of the emergency status and lockdown due to the corona pandemic, but settlers as usual take advantage of any situation to implement their colonial schemes. Once the lockdown comes to an end, Palestinians will be surprised by the reality that settlers had imposed to the ground. Khallet An-Nahleh lands are owned by Palestinians from Bethlehem, which is proved by ownership deeds, the owners are locked down and can't reach their lands , while settlers roam freely and take over as much as possible of Palestinian lands. Noteworthy, during 2018, the occupation issued a military order to confiscate 1182 dunums of Khallet An-Nahleh lands, for the intention to expand "Efrat" settlement (click here).

Settlers also opened a colonial road that leads to the new outpost, it's noteworthy that several Palestinians live in the area, and they will be affected by those measurements.
