Israeli violations in the time of Corona:

Violation: Settlers use Palestinian lands illegally.

Location: Halahel / Bereyet Taqu’/ Bethlehem governorate.

Date: March 30th 2020.

Description:

Monday, March 30th 2020, a group of settlers gangs raided Bareyet Taqu’ and set up tents for themselves on lands that belong to Palestinians , on the pretext of distancing themselves from people infected with the Corona virus.

Noteworthy, Illegal Israeli settlers have always targeted Bareyet Taqu’ area , in an attempt to take over its lands for the favor of colonial expansion schemes , their main target right now is their plan “the greater Jerusalem” that aim to link Israel illegal Israeli  settlements in the heart of West Bank to each other.

Israeli illegal settlers are taking advantage of the fact that the whole world is busy with the Corona Pandemic , and Palestinians are in a curfew and practice social distancing to avoid the spread of the virus , they roam in Palestinian lands , use them illegally, and try to impose realities on the ground such as setting up tents in a plot to take over it later.

The Israeli occupation authorities are taking advantage of the fact that legal aid and human rights institution are locked down due to the spread of the Corona virus to implement as much as possible of their schemes , while Palestinian owners are paralyzed and unable to do anything to save their lands and properties.

Bareyet Taqu’ is a part of Taqu’ village, it is a natural escape for people of Taqu’ village to enjoy fresh air and practice posturing , but it is also unfortunately a target for Israeli Human Rights abuses and military orders.
