Deputy-chairman of Burqa village council Jihad Daghlas told LRC: “we to the location after the occupation forces had left, and found the military notice hanged on one of the targeted saplings, the notice ordered to remove the saplings.”

Jihad asserted, about one year and a half Burqa village council planted about 100 forest saplings on  the sides of a road in Al-Masoudiya , but the occupation authorities are now targeting them.

Noteworthy , “Al-Masou’diya site has a history that goes back to the 1914, the family of Al-Maso’ud donated a plot with an area of 38 dunums to build a railroad that connected Haifa to Jordan then to Saudi Arabia.

In the eve of 1967 war, the area was turned into a military barracks for five years, the occupation forces also dismantled the railway but the station remained the same, while the occupation authorities are prohibiting any rehabilitation works.
