Violation: Halt of work notice.

Location: Duma Village / Nablus governorate.

Date: April 24^th 2017.

Perpetrators: The Israeli Occupation building and organization department.

Victims: Citizen Ziad Dawabsha.

Description:

Monday, April 24^th 2017, about 12:00 a massive army force accompanied by the building and organization officer raided Duma village south Nablus, and gave Citizen Ziad Dawabsha a halt of work notice on his farm.

Ziad Dawabsha (55) said:

“The Israeli Occupation troops got to Al-Khaleh area, and gave me a halt of work notice on the ravaging works I’ve been doing to repair my farm (3143 m²).

I built a cement wall around the plot, then rented a bulldozer to level it and turn it into a cultivatable farm, but I couldn’t finish my work before the occupation forces showed up and notified me.”

I went to the village council once I received a halt of work notice, which also guided me to submit a petition to freeze the military notice, the petition was submitted with the legal aid of Jerusalem legal aid center.

Duma village:

Duma is a Palestinian village in Nablus Governorate, located southeast of Nablus City. It is bordered by Al Jiftlik and Fasayil (in Jericho Governorate) to the east, Majdal Bani Fadil to the north, Qusra and Jalud to the west, and Al Mughayyir (in Ramallah Governorate) to the south.
