Description:
A group of ‘Adei ‘Ad illegal colonists built an outpost on confiscated lands from Al-Mughayyir Ramallah , through setting up five mobile houses up a hill on natural block 7 of the town’s lands.
The new outpost is built to the east of ‘Adei Ad colony, on a hill that overviews the bypass known as Allon road.
The targeted hill have been confiscated from Palestinian families , who are no longer allowed to access it after being announced as a state property , while illegal Israeli colonists have the advantage to use these lands for their colonial projects.
Only 700 m away, an illegal outpost was built on confiscated lands.
The New outpost on Al-Mughayyir village lands
Village council member Faraj Na’asan told LRC:
“Establishing random outposts on hills near by colonies paves the road to loot vast areas of lands in between them, we are talking about hundreds of dunums , that will be used for colonial projects at the time agricultural land is shrinking due to land grabs.”
During the past three years, four random outposts were built around “Adei ‘Ad” colony, two of them were built on Turmus’ayya lands, and other two were built on Al-Mughayyir lands , which means that hundreds of dunums will be eaten up in the annexation of these new outposts to the mother colony.
‘Adei ‘Ad is inhabited by number of radical colonists who carry out arson attacks , loot properties and attack farmers in Ramallah suburbs.
Al-Mughayyir:
Al Mughayyir is located 30 km to the north east of Ramallah; it is inhabited by around 3,249 people according to the PCBS statistics conducted in 2017.
Most of the village agricultural fields are located in its eastern parts; its total area is 33055 dunums, 501 of which are built-up area.
The Israeli occupation confiscated 37 dunums of Al Mughayyir lands for bypass #458.
According to Oslo Accords, about 95% of the village is under Area C while only 5% is under Area B.
Area B: 1,695 dunums
Area C: 31,360 dunums
