Description:

The Israeli Occupation bulldozers carried on Ravaging and leveling vast areas of postures to expand ‘Amihai colony on confiscated lands from Turmus’ayya village north Ramallah, and Jalud village lands in Nablus.

Reportedly, the occupation’s bulldozer carried on ravaging more than 35 dunums of lands in Ras At-Taweel - natural block 8 of Turmus’ayya town, and belong to farmer Sa’id Talib.

Work in ‘Amihai outpost started in summer of 2017 on confiscated lands from Jalud and Turmus’ayya. The outpost was built for colonists who evicted ‘Amona outpost in Silwad . Noteworthy, ‘Amihai is built at a location where it is possible to connect ‘Adei ‘Ad colony to Shilo in the south, and devour hundreds dunums of Palestinian lands.

In addition, the colony’s sewer water pollutes vast areas of lands in Turmus’auyya village lands. despite farmers’ protests, the problem is still on and threats 9 dunums at As-Sahel area.

About Turmus’ayya:[1]

It is located 25 km to the north east of Ramallah city. It has a population of 3736 people (according to a 2007 census). Its total area is 18139 dunums, 1350 of which are built-up area. About 11218 dunums of land are under Area B (PA is in charge of civil matters with Israel responsible for security) and 6921 dunums are under Area C (Israel maintains full security and administrative control).

The Israeli occupation confiscated vast areas of the village for the benefit of the following colonies:

Shilo and Mizpe Rahel devoured 1023 dunums

Mizpe Rahel devoured 706 dunums

The bypass road number 60 stole 12.5 dunums

United Nations General Assembly resolutions on Israeli settlement

Resolution 242 of 1967: Withdrawal of Israel armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict;

Resolution 446 of 1979: that the policy and practices of Israel in establishing settlements in the Palestinian and other Arab territories occupied since 1967 have no legal validity and constitute a serious obstruction to achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East.

Resolution 452 of 1979 : the policy of Israel in establishing settlements in the occupied Arab territories has no legal validity and constitutes a violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949" and "calls upon the Government and people of Israel to cease, on an urgent basis, the establishment, construction and planning of settlements in the Arab territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem.

Resolution 465: March 1, 1980, demanded Israel to stop the planning and construction of settlements in territories occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem. It also called on Israel to “dismantle the existing settlements”.

Resolution 478: August 20, 1980, condemned in “the strongest terms” the enactment of Israeli law proclaiming a change in status of Jerusalem. The resolution called on all states “that have established diplomatic missions” in Jerusalem to withdraw them from the city.
