Perpetrators: The Israeli Civil Administration.

Victims: Four families at the area.

Description:

Sunday, November 21st 2021, the Israeli Occupation Authorities demolished and removed a number of residences, on the pretext of building without a license in As-Sateeh area (Ad-Duyuk At-Tehta) west Jericho.

An Army force accompanied by the Israeli Civil Administration raided the area, and hanged notices on the targeted structures. The notices ordered demolition and removal of a buildings, and threatened that in case the owners did not destroy the structure, the occupation forces will carry out the demolition in 96 hours after the date on the notice.

The Occupation Authorities referred to military order number (1797) issued in 2018 , which initially targets buildings inhabited for less than one month , or structures that are not yet completed after six months since the last visit of the building inspector to the location.

Ad-Duyuk At-Tehta in lines: [1]

Ad-Duyuk At-Tehta (As-Sateeh) in located to the north east of Jericho city, and has a population of 940 people according to Jericho municipality. One third of Ad-Duyuk At-Tehta population comes from Jerusalem and Hebron and the rest originate from three main families: Samrat , Fhidat , and Jama’an , and they are original inhabitants of the area. Ad-Duyuk At-Tehta has total area of 2300 dunums. Ad-Duyuk At-Tehta area is known for its rich springs, for example there is As-Sateeh spring which pumps 13 cube/ hour, and covers both domestic and irrigation water , Ad-Duyuk At-Tehta contains many historical and archeological sites.

Noteworthy, Ad-Duyuk At-Tehta is a part of As-Sateeh , which is a part of C area in Oslo accords , more than 100 houses and facilities in Ad-Duyuk At-Tehta received a notice, and during the past year , more than 9 structures were  demolished in the pretext of building without a license.
