Description:
Wednesday February 6th 2020, about 11:00 a massive army force accompanied by the building and organization officer raided Al-Maso’udiya in Burqa north Nablus, the officer put a halt of work order on an agricultural barracks that belong to citizen Musheer Saif.
Musheer Saif (55) told LRC:
“I found a military order under a rock in front of the barracks two hours after the occupation forces left the location , the military order targets a barracks with an area of 150 m2, the barracks is surrounded by a barn built of a zinc fence (2 m high) , with a total area of 250 m and a metal gate.”.

The targeted barracks is in area “C” north the village, 100 m away from the village houses , and built on a 10 dunums plot planted with olives, Musheer Saif told LRC that he built the barracks to use it as a barn , and provide a source of income for his family, especially after they lost their home last March.
Saif headed to the village council once he received the military order , they gave him guidance to prepare a legal file , and file an objection through the Jerusalem Legal Aid and Human Rights Center .
Noteworthy, Burqa village council was within LRC targeted group in their Project “Protecting the Palestinian Right to Land and Housing” , funded by the European Union, the project established legal aid offices in the targeted municipalities to help victims of Israeli arbitrary military orders.

10 km east Ramallah , Burqa is bordered by Beitin (north), Al-Bireh and Kafar Aqab – Bizgout and Kokhav Ya’acov settlement – (west), Deir Dibwan (east) and Mikhmas (south).
Burqa has a population of 2047 people according to 2017 census.
Burqa has a total area of 6,065 dunums , of which 264 dunums are a built up area.
Israeli settlers built “Megron” outpost, in addition to “Kokhav Ya’acov” settlement which was established in 1984 and ate up 284 dunums of Burqa lands, and inhabited by 3,819 settlers.
Bypass 60 also devoured about 160 dunums.
