Description:
The Israeli Occupation Authorities seized 124 dunums from Majdel Bani Fadel and Duma lands to expand bypass 505 , under military order “Acquisition and obtaining disposal rights number 33/79 H”.
Duma village council head Mohammed Dawabsha told LRC:
“An officer from the Israeli Occupation civil administration gave us a notice and the attached maps to expand bypass 505, the road penetrates Duma and leads to Israeli illegal settlements in the Jordan Valley. The road will go 500m eating up almost 40 dunums for the road and the security zone , the targeted lands are fields of grain belong to farmers: Majid Dawabsha , Rateb Dawabsha, Yousif Dawabsha, Mohammed Ahmad Mohammed , and Abdul Jalil Dawabsha.”
Majdil Bani Fadel village council head Fawzi Zain Ad-Deen said:
“Last Wednesday, I received a notice from the Israeli Occupation Civil Administration officer , informing me that the Israeli occupation authorities will seize about 84 dunums for the expansion of bypass 505 , the targeted lands are mostly fields of grains and belong to 62 farmers from the village.”
Fawzi Zain Ad-Deen went to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission and the Palestinian Liaison office to see what could be done to save farmers' lands.
