Demolishing an Agricultural room and Retaining Walls in Shabtin village / Ramallah governorate

Violation: Demolishing agricultural facilities.

Location: Shabtin village / northwest Ramallah city.

Date: Dec 9th 2020.

Perpetrators: The Construction inspector in the Israeli Civil Administration.

Victims: Citizen Mohammed ‘Assi.

Description:

The Israeli Occupation forces accompanied by the building inspector in the Israeli Civil Administration raided Shabtin village northwest Ramallah, and carried on destroying an agricultural room west the village built of bricks and baton with a total area of (60 m2) , in addition to destroying retaining walls (1 m * 170 m) , a siege 45 m long  , and a gate before withdrawing.

The targeted plot belong to Citizen Mohammed ‘Assi from Shabtin village , who built the room and the retaining wall on a plot with a total area of 1.5 dunums , located to the west of the village.

Early February 2020 , The construction inspector in the Israeli Civil Administration hanged a military order on the town’s entrance , and today the occupation carries out the demolition , The owner supports a family of 6 , 4 of them are children.

Shabtin Village:

25 km to the west of Ramallah city, Shabtin is surrounded by number of villages: Al-Ittihad (east) , Qibya (west) , Shuqba (north) , and Deir Qaddis (south).

Shabtin has a population of 1136 people, according to 2017 census.

The village has a total area of 4478 dunums , with 162 dunums as a built up area.
