Israeli Colonists and the Occupation Police Assault Protestors in Shaikh Jarrah Neighborhood / Occupied Jerusalem

During public solidarity demonstration in Shaikh Jarrah neighborhood to support families threatened of eviction for the favor of Israeli colonial institution, the occupation police continues to violently suppress protestors and solidarity activists. They also set up roadblocks at the neighborhood entrance, to hinder the movement of families and supporters. The Occupation police does not hesitate to use rubber bullets, sonic pumps and tear gas against protesters and families. They also arrested many protesters, and released them after paying a high fine and receiving a ban from Shaikh Jarrah area.

The Occupation so-called police used violence now more than any time before to suppress protestors, Journalists and families in Shaikh Jarrah area. Many of the attacks were video filmed and published on social media.

Noteworthy, the occupation police escalated their attacks after a visit by a radical Jew Itama Bin Gveir (a leader in the Israeli far-right Otzma Yehudit party), who once arrived caused chaos and clashes between Families of Shaikh Jarrah and protestors on one side, and illegal colonists on the other, israeli colonists were armed and started shooting bullets at Palestinians. Itama Bin Gveir set up an office for herself in front of Ghawi house in shaikh Jarrah, the house is now inhabited now by illegal colonists after forcing Ghawi family to evict.
