In reality, the issue is not all about unlicensed construction than it is on the occupation’s intention to take over more lands in the area of their control (Area C according to Oslo Accords). The Israeli occupation considers such lands as a colonial reserve, which will be hard to negotiate on in any future agreements with Palestinians.

Ras Al-Ahmar community was targeted several times by the Israeli occupation forces and civil administration, the community was demolished several times under claims of building without licenses , while the occupation refuses to provide construction licenses for people of the village and imposes closure on large parts of the surrounding lands.

Ar-Ras Al-Ahmar is inhabited by 18 families who are originally from the nearby village Tamoun , especially Bsharat and Bani Oudeh families, they practice a basic lifestyle . the community was demolished more than 18 times during the last 10 years , but the residents remained steadfast.

The Israeli Occupation is violating international law in attemptto evict the indigenous people of the land, demolish their structure , and settle illegal colonists at their place.
