Citizen Salim Jahalin told Land Research Center the following:

" In 2014, the occupation forces demolished our structures in the same place on the claim of unlicensed construction despite that we have been living here since 2005.

One year ago, we received an eviction order from Israel Civil Administration. At time, we sought attorney Jabareen to follow up on the case. He managed to delay the demolition for a while.

On January 26, 2017, a force from the occupation army and two dozers arrived at the location and demolished the structures, leaving 40 birds dead.

I asked the officer for the reason of demolition and he said that we lived on "the street". The officer delivered us an order number T/35/07 stating extension of validity on a 386.34 land grab"

It should be marked that the Israeli Occupation Forces carried out too many demolition operations on Jabal Al-Baba Bedouin community during 2016-16. Around 42 structures were demolished as a result.

An Israeli order to open colonial road:

An officer from Israel Civil Administration delivered on January 26, 2017 the residents of Jabal Al-Baba community an order stating the confiscation of 386.34 dunums from Al-Eizariya, Abu Dis and At-Tur towns.

According to the order number T/35/07, the confiscation is justified on the claim of "security purposes" and is intended for the opening of a new colonial road.

The confiscation order was first served in 2007 for the sake of completing a road plan named "fabric of life". The road was reported to be 17km in length.

The following table shows information about the affected areas by the confiscation order:
