Victims: Owners of agricultural lands and Al-Hadidiya and Humsa Al-Fouqa communities.
Description:
The Israeli Occupation heavily targets Palestinian natural resources in the Jordan Valley, as part of their ongoing policies to empty the area for colonial expansionist projects.
Sunday, November 28th 2021, A Massive army force accompanied by three trucks and Israeli Civil Bulldozer raided Umm Al-Qutun area east ‘Atouf village, where (bypass Alon) separates the area from ‘Atouf level land also a part from Al-Buqai’a.
The Israeli Occupation imposed a complete closure on the area, before carrying on cutting and vandalizing and then confiscating 1700 m * 4 inches of plastic pipes.
Noting that the pipes were installed this year by the Action Against Hunger organization in coordination with Tubas governorate to provide water for agricultural area of Umm Al-Qutton , while other two water lines provided water to Al-Hadidiya area (138 people) and Humsa Al-Fouqa (78 people) in addition to small Bedouin communities.

‘Atouf village council head ‘Abdullah Bsharat told LRC:
“This is one of the most important projects to be implemented at the area, and was supposed to provide water to 850 dunums of Agricultural lands threatened by the illegal colonies Beka’ot and Ro’i . Those are fertile land that before 1967 was producing a variety of crops, but after the 70s they were turned into unused agricultural areas due to the occupation’s arbitrary policies.”

“We are suffering from water shortage, and we have to buy water in expensive prices (about 100 shackles for 3 m3) , in addition to colonists assaults every time the water tanks try to enter the community.”
Between 2016 and 2017 the occupation destroyed a large number of water line in Umm Al-Quttun area, without any preceding notices.
