Date: Sunday (April 3rd 2022).

Description:
Sunday April 3rd 2022, The Occupation West Bank army commander “Yehuda Alof” issued a military order number (22/4/t) to take over (264.4) dunums of Khirbet Humsa At-Tihta in Tamoun , at “Al- Mutaqalebat” location , for military purposes.
The military order (22/04/t) in two languages Arabic and Hebrew, and attached to an aerial photo of the lands in natural blocks at the following location:
Natural block (66) : Pieces 2-13 , 157 , 160 – 162 , 170 – 175 , 186 , 184 , 213- 2018.
Natural block (67): piece 40.
Eviction notice on lands number (22/4/t)
Reportedly, the targeted lands are located to the east of the military camp known as “Terestya” , and located about (500 m) away , the military camp is built on part of Khirbet Humsa lands.
According to the military order the lands are private properties, the occupation used the legal articles that allow army commander to take over a plot for a specific period of time for military use , this means that the land still belongs to its owner but confiscated for a limited period of time under security claims , another example of this type of confiscation are the lands devoured behind the annexation and expansion wall.

Due to the occupation’s restrictions that limit land use, the lands were turned into postures , or military training sites , but the locals are worried that the occupation might build military facilities on them , which means that it will be impossible to get them back.
According to the military order “The confiscation of the land” ends in March 31st 2025. but noteworthy, most lands in the west bank where confiscation period had ended are not yet free from the occupation hands.
This dilemma started 7 years ago, when the occupation forces started to chase farmers whn they posture in these lands, noting that they belong to farmers from Bsharat and Bani ‘Odeh from Tammoun , before 1967 these lands were used in growing multiple field crops.
Farmer Hayel Bsharat in Humsa At-Tihta said: “The current situation is very difficult, the military camp was established four years ago and had been growing , the occupation also built an outpost next to it in 2018 . moreover, most of the surrounding lands were closed and owners were not allowed to access them ever again.”
If we look at the bigger picture in the Jordan valley , only 280 thousand dunums of Jordan valley lands are arable lands, (38.8 %) of the total area of the Jordan valley (only 50 thousand dunum) are cultivated , while illegal Israeli colonists are using 27 thousand dunums of agricultural lands.
Israeli controls 400 thousand dunums on the pretext of using them as a closed military zone , about 55.5% of the total area of the Jordan valley . Noteworthy, Palestinian are not allowed to build any new structure at the area , and Israeli already have 90 military spots at the Jordan valley.
