Illegal colonists set fire to an agricultual facility in Kufur Ad-Dik / Salfit Governorate

Violation: Arson of an agricultural room.

Location: Kafr ad-Dik / Salfit Governorate.

Date of Violation: April 14, 2024.

Perpetrators: Settlers from the "Bedouel" settlement.

Affected Party: Farmer Jihad Abdullah ad-Dik.

Description:

On the afternoon of Sunday, April 14, 2024, the town of Kafr ad-Dik, located west of Salfit, witnessed an attack carried out by a group of settlers, believed to be from the "Bedouel" settlement, which sits on parts of the town's land.

During the attack, the settlers stormed an agricultural room in the Khirbet Susiya area. This room belongs to farmer Jihad Abdullah ad-Dik, who supports a family of five, including four females and three children.

According to the impacted farmer, the settlers set the agricultural room on fire, resulting in significant damage. Additionally, the settlers deliberately destroyed the room's contents and vandalized the surrounding farmland before withdrawing from the site.

The Burned Room

The agricultural room was used as storage for farming tools and equipment. The farmer owns seven dunams of olive trees in the area, and he built the room on his land approximately seven years ago.

From previous field observations, this piece of land has been subjected to repeated attacks over the past years, including the cutting of olive trees multiple times and the destruction of several agricultural rooms. Despite filing numerous complaints with Israeli authorities through the Civil Liaison Office, no action has been taken to stop the settlers' assaults.
