Israeli violations in the time of Corona
Violation: self demolition in Shufat.
Date: May 16th 2020.
Location: Shufat town / Occupied Jerusalem.
Perpetrator: The Occupation’s municipality in Jerusalem.
Victims: Citizen Mohammed Abu Rmaila.
Description:
Reportedly, Saturday May 16th 2020 , citizen Mahmoud Abu Rmaila demolished a part of his house after receiving a notice from the occupation’s municipality , on the pretext of building without licenses.
The targeted segment is a room built as a part of the family’s 120m2 house , the house is a home for a family of 6 , and the occupation’s municipality issued a demolition order against the new “room”.
On Saturday , the owner carried out the demolition operation by himself , and reduced financial loss.
It is noticed that many Jerusalemites are resorting to demolish their homes by themselves, to avoid the occupation’s high fines following the demolitions (costs of the machineries, forces and workers).
It is expected that the occupation will carry out a mass demolition operation in the occupied Jerusalem after distributing dozens of demolition notices in the occupied city.
