The Occupation Police Takes Measurements of Al-Aqsa Mosque

On Thursday morning, January 28, 2021, the Israeli occupation authorities gave permission to an unidentified group that claimed to belong to a foreign company to take measurments and photos of the yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque using advanced scanning and imaging equipment which reveals the occupation's hidden intentions toward the third holiest site in Islam.

This step coincides with the occupation's prevention of the Palestinian Reconstruction Committee in the Al-Aqsa Mosque from carrying out its work under the pretext of not coordinating in advance with the occupation police controlling the mosque.

The Jewish fanatic groups described the surveying as the first step in the construction work for the alleged Jewish temple, which they want to build after destroying the Islamic mosques in the holy compound.

This action was taken at a time when the Israeli occupation authorities are working day and night in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially in the Umayyad palaces, and carrying out excavations under the Mosque in an effort to turn it into a Jewish site.

Moreover, the occupation authorities continue to allow settlers to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque on a daily basis even in light of the closures to fight Corona pandemic, at the same time Jerusalemite Palestinians are not allowed to enter the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Ever since the outbreak of Corona pandemic, violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the whole Palestinian presence in Jerusalem haven't sopped, rather, they continued at a greater scale than before in order to impose a new reality on the grounds.
