The Occupation Authorities Demolish a Residence in Az-Za’atra Bedouin community – Az-Za’ayim / East Jerusalem

Thursday, March 18th 2021, the Occupation municipality and members of the Israeli police demolished basic residences belong to Bedouin families in Az-Za’atra community.

ÙŒReportedly, Israeli Occupation Forces raided the area and carried out the demolition. The targeted building is 50 m2, built of steel sheets and woods, and was built one month ago. The residence belongs to Murad Za’atra, and he lives at it with his wife.

The Israeli Occupation police had served a demolition notice previously, on the pretext of building without a license. And Thursday morning, the occupation forces and police showed up and carried out the demolition.

Noteworthy,The arbitrary Israeli Occupation had carried out several demolition operations at the community during the past years, besides stealing water tanks.

The Occupation Authorities is trying to displace Bedouin communities inside and around Jerusalem, after many of them received eviction notices for years, to expand the surrounding outposts or to open colonial roads.

Bedouin communities in Jerusalem are still under demolition, eviction or displacement swords, noting that Al-Khan Al-Ahmar is the largest Bedouin community at the area, the eviction notice on the community was frozen after local and international pressures and protests.
