Violation: Demolition of four apartments.

Location: Satih Murhuba – Al-Bireh city / Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate.

Date: February 14^th 2022.

Perpetrators: The building inspector at the Israeli civil administration.

Victims: Citizen Sameer Flaifel.

Description:

The Israeli Occupation Forces protected by the Occupation army and the building inspector at the Israeli Civil administration raided Sateh Murhuba area at 6:00 am in February 14^th 2020 north of Al-Bireh city , and demolished an under construction house belongs to citizen Saed Flaifel, on the pretext of building without a license. The Occupation bulldozers leveled the building to the ground.

Affected citizen Saed Flaifel told LRC the following:

“One year ago , I built a house for my family in area classified C in Oslo accords , the house is unfortunately 300 m away from a plot on which the occupation illegally built  Kokhav Ya’coub colony, that’ why they want to demolish the house , to grant “security” for Israeli illegal colonists as they claim.”

The Owner told LRC the following:

“I received a halt of work notice, and started preparing a legal file , the occupation delayed response to the license application until they showed up with a military order , my loss amounted to 150 thousands dollars noting that the structure is still under construction.”

During the past few years, the occupation increased assaults in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, and Jabal At-Taweel and Sateh Murhiba area are a part of the targeted area , which carried out mass demolition operations..

The Occupation devoured (3357) dunums for the following purposes:

• Israeli settlements devoured (1213) dunums , for:

• Bypass roads 466 and 463 ate up 111 dunums.
• The Annexation and Expansion wall is 1,359 m , ate up 135 dunums and isolated 370 dunums behind it.
• Israeli military camps ate up (1,898) dunums.

Oslo accords divided the town’s lands as the following:

• A area: 19,046 dunums.
• B area: 3,921 dunums.
• C area: 15,197 dunums.
