Violation: an attack on agricultural lands.

Date: January 9^th 2023.

Location: She’ab Al-Butum – Yatta town / Hebron Governorate.

Perpetrators: Illegal Colonists.

Victims: citizens Isa’ac and ‘Ali Jabareen.

Description:

Reportedly, A plot that belongs to Isa’ac and ’Ali Jabareen is frequently assaulted by armed troops, and the perpetrators destroyed a siege that surrounds the plot and uprooted several saplings in She’ab Al-Butum in Masafer Yatta / South Hebron Governorate.

The affected Citizen Isa’ac Jabareen told LRC:

“January 9^th 2023, colonists cut 200 , of a siege of barbed wires that surrounds the plot. And colonists attacked 10 saplings , that are two years old , which they cut and destroyed.

Aj-Jabareen said that : illegal colonists attacked a plot that belongs to the family  the attack affected  (10 dunums) planted with olives, Part of the land was planted 6 years ago , and the other one was cultivated two years ago.

Avigal illegal colony was built on confiscated lands east Yatta , and only 400 m away from the Yatta village , colonists every once in a while carry out their assaults on agricultural lands.

Colonists also throw waste water in lands nearby the colonies , which makes cultivating these lands almost impossible.  

Khirbet She’ab Al-Butum:

Khirbet She’ab Al-Butum is located in Masafer Yatta, bordered by Khallet Ad-Dabe’a (east), bypass 317 (west), Al-Qawawis and Al-Karmel (north + south) , the Khirbet has an area of 110 dunums , and inhabited by 9 families that compose of 81 people , 37 of them are children, their homes are 7 tents , 3 barracks and a caravan, Residents of the Khirbet depend mainly on herding for living , the Khirbet consists of 443 cattle heads, 82 agricultural dunums , of which trees only cover 10 dunums and the rest are postures.
