June 19, the Israeli Supreme court requested "Ateret Cohanim" organization to explain how they got the property of a land in Battn Al-Hawa (5 dunums and 200m 2), the colonial organization claim that they bought the land 17 years ago, The supreme court also requests an explanation from the government as the official authority in properties’ transactions.

The Supreme Court ordered the Israel land administration to serve the documents that prove the transfer of property, and if Palestinian residents back then were notified on the transfer, the court requests answers within 30 days.

Residents of Battn Al-Hawa quarter filed a petition to the Israeli Supreme Court based on Ottoman law that forbids transferring state domains private property.

Battn Al-Hawa quarter has an area of 5 dunums and 200 meters all of which Atereh Cohanim organization claim to possess. There are 85 families in Battn Al-Hawa quarter- about 1200 Jerusalemites- all of them are subjected to forced transfer. This reveals Israeli policies in ethnic cleansing of Jerusalem indigenous people.
