accusations list against Al-Qara'en family

Al- Qara'en family bought the land in 1999 and constructed the building in 2002, one year after finishing construction, municipality workers went to the location took pictures of the building, and handed an order to attend the court's session. Since then, Al- Qara'en  family had to pay many fines until this day , the total value of fines is 200 thousand. Shekels. The family had to pay 2 fines at the same time. One of them is 1300 shekels and the other is  900 shekels.

Engineer Ehsan Salman who follows the case in the occupations municipality, told LRC observer:

"All these years we were trying to file the needed applications in order to get a permission for the building, all of them were refused, but we won't stop until we get the needed permissions"

Many quarters in occupied Jerusalem like Silwan and Ras Al-Amud lack organization. every suggested organization project is refused by the occupation's municipality,  and if they accept it they stipulate it with impossible terms.

These are parts of the occupation's policies in Jerusalem in order to keep the situation the way it is in the area, especially Silwan and Ras Al-Amud where they have colonial plans that don't come along  with organizing the area, that what leads people of Jerusalem to build without permissions in their quest to get an appropriate home. This is a basic right granted by international conventions, people of Jerusalem have to pay expensive fines to the occupation, and adhere to "legal" measures  that the occupation's court determines like jailing and confiscation of properties.
