The occupation seize a plot that belongs to the late Yassir Arafat and others / occupied Jerusalem

Tuesday , 22 January 2019, the occupation’s court passed a judgment that requires the temporal seizure of a land about 2.5 dunums in Mount of Olives that oversees Al-Aqsa compound from the east.

Reportedly, a group called “Victims of Terror” filed a lawsuit against Palestinian authorities and The late president Yassir Arafat, requesting compensation.

The late Yassir Arafat owns about 135 m2, about 0.5% of the total plot, but the occupation is attempting to seize the whole plot , even though part of it is in borders of a cemetery in  Mount of Olives.

According to the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz , Arafat inherited the 135 m2 of the plot, and it is now legally his property.

Victims of Terror, is a group of Israeli families who lost a member in the conflict, they are requesting compensation from the Palestinian authorities through Israeli courts.
