Violation: The Israeli occupation confiscates more Palestinian lands from Nablus , the scheme aims to link Yitzhar illegal settlement to a military point.

Description:

Wednesday 12 June 2019, The Israeli occupation served a military order to Asira Al-Qibaliya village council , the military order informs that the occupation army laid their hands on Palestinian lands in order to establish a military point for “security purposes”.

Asira Al-Qiblaiya village council head told LRC reporter:

“We received a military order assigned by the so called commander of the Israeli occupation army in West Bank, The military order is actually an expansion of a previous military order , the occupation army have had  a military point in the location for years. This time the military order excluded 485 m2 that belong to Ahmad Asayra, and annexed 1.5 dunums from the eastern area (the newly annexed area was classified as B area in Oslo accords).

The targeted area was used in agriculture, before its Palestinian farmers were denied accessing to it after the construction of “Yitzhar” illegal settlement on confiscated lands.”

 The military order number (12/25/T) targeted 5.455 dunums in Ash-Shaqiq and Al-Kroum locations east the village, the military order will be valid until 31/12/2021.

The targeted lands belong to :

  •  Ahmad Hamdan : 2 dunums.
  • Mohammad Salih: 2 dunums.
  • Abdullah Yassin : 1.455 dunums.

General Information about ‘Asira al Qibliya:

‘Asira al Qibliya is located 20 km south of Nablus city; it is surrounded by the villages of Tell (north), Tell, Zita and Jamma’in (West), Madame (East) and ‘Urif and Jamama’in (south).

Asira Al-Qinaliya has a population of 2935 people, according to 2017 census.

Its total area is about 6440, 332 are the town’s built up area. There are 530 dunums confiscated for the enlargement of Yitzhar, which was established in 1983 and populated  about 1668 settlers –according to the Israeli ministry of interior statistics – 3 January 2019.

According to Oslo convention the land is divided to:

 B areas (4,503) dunums.

 C areas (1,937) dunums.

The constringing policy by the Israeli occupation authorities of confiscating Palestinian lands in order to  build illegal random outposts and settlements can only be regarded as a violation of all international conventions and agreements that are related to natural resources like:

In no case may a people be deprived of its own means of subsistence.

The Universal declaration of human rights Article 17:
(1) Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others.

 (2) No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property.
