Violation: Halt of work orders.

Location: Majdil Bani Fadil/ Nablus governorate.

Perpetrator: The Israeli occupation building and organization department.

Victims: citizen ‘Izz Ad-Deen Zain Ad-Deen.

Description:

Monday, September 8^th 2019  about 11:00 , the Israeli occupation forces accompanied by the building and organization officer raided Majdel Bani Fadil villagesoutheast Nablus , the occupation gave ‘Izz Ad-Deen Zain Ad-Deen a halt of work military order on an agricultural barracks in Al-Mazar area, the notice includes a halt of work order on an agricultural barracks with a total area of 250 m², built of zinc and metal , the farmer wants to use it as a barn , to provide a source of income for his family of 9.

Farmer ‘Izz Ad-Deen (42) told LRC:

“The targeted barracks is in the eastern area of the village , 500 m  from the town’s houses , and built on a plot with an area of 5.5 dunums planted with beans , the barracks was built to establish an agricultural project for sheep breeding , there is an area available for planting beans as feeds for sheep.”

Izz Ad-Deen asserted :

“Once I received the notice, I went to the village council that gave me guidance to file a lawsuit to freeze the military order through preparing a legal file and  the ownership documents.”

Noteworthy, the village council contributed in many workshops implemented by LRC under the Palestinian right to land and housing project , which is funded by the European Union. in the workshop, there was an explanation on how to object on military orders against land and housing.

Majdil Bani Fadil is located 25 km south east Nablus, bordered by Aqraba town (north), Qasra village (west), Aj-Jiftlik village (east) , and Doma village (south).

Majdil Bani Fadil has a population of (2907) people in 2017.

The village has an area of 6651 dunums , of which 287 dunums are the town’s built up area.

The occupation confiscated about 398 dunums for opening bypass 505.

B area (1,209) dunums.

C area (5,442) dunums.
