Halt of work notice targets four houses in Duma village / Nablus governorate


Violation: Halt of work notice.

Date: March 26th 2019.

Location: Duma village / Nablus governorate.

Perpetrators: The Israeli Occupation Civil Administration.

Victims: four Palestinian families.

Description:

Tuesday, March 26th 2019, the Israeli occupation authorities issued a halt of work notice on four houses in Duma on the pretext of building without licenses in C area.

One of the victims “Mohammed Dawabsha” told LRC:

“A vehicle from the building and organization department accompanied by five military vehicles raided Khallet Al-Lohof in Duma south Nablus, and the inspection officer wrote the notice and gave it to father of the owners of the four houses Mohammed Dawabsha , then took pictures of the targeted structures before withdrawing.”

In the notices, the occupation authorities ordered the immediate stoppage of construction works on the pretext of building without licenses in C area.

Mohammed informed the village council about the notices, and prepared a legal file to submit a petition, with the help of Jerusalem Legal Aid and Human Rights Organization.

All of the four houses are built in C area in basin 2, part 4.

Duma village:[1]

Duma is a Palestinian village in Nablus Governorate, located southeast of Nablus City. It is bordered by Al Jiftlik and Fasayil (in Jericho Governorate) to the east, Majdal Bani Fadil to the north, Qusra and Jalud to the west, and Al Mughayyir (in Ramallah Governorate) to the south.
