The house was notified in June 15th 2020, with a military order entitled “Removal of a new building” , numbered (10148) , issued in reference to military order (1797) which gives the owner only 96 hours to evict his house.
Notice number (10148) that targets Mohammed’s house
Owner of the targeted house Mohammed ‘Anqawi told LRC:
“I support a family of six members (four of them are children) , early this year I started building a house for my family , Once the first floor (210 m2) was completed specifically in June 15th 2020 I received a notice to evict the house within 96 hours , then in coordination with Jerusalem Legal aid and Human Rights center, I filed an objection in Beit El military court . The Occupation refused the objection , and in June 19th 2020 the occupation forces and bulldozers came by to implement the demolition, but people of the village made a human shield around the house and managed to stop the demolition. I filed a petition to the Israeli supreme court in June 23rd 2020 to cancel the demolition order but the petition was refused in July 29th . Today the occupation invaded the village at 2:00 am, while the village people were asleep and carried out the demolition. The construction of the house cost 350 thousand shekels.
Noteworthy, in June 24th, the occupation demolished a house at the same location following a notice issued in reference to military order 1797..

Yousif Al-Haj from Beit Sira village council told LRC:
“The Occupation gave halt of work notices for 20 residential and commercial facilities, most of them are at the northern and western sides of the village, the occupation is clearly trying to empty the village for future colonial projects, as many of its houses are now notified.”
