Halt of Work Notices for Houses and Facilities in Dair Qaddis / Ramallah Governorate
Violation: Halt of work notice.
Location: Deir Qaddis village / Ramallah Governorate.
Date: March 11th – April 5th 2021.
Perpetrators: The Building inspector at the Israeli Civil Administration.
Victims: 10 families living in the area.
Description:
Between March and April 2021 , the Israeli Occupation Authorities issued Halt of Work Notices for houses and Facilities at Al-Muhallel area west Deir Qaddis in Ramallah governorate on the pretext of building without a license.
In March 11th 2021, the Israeli Occupation Authorities issued halt of work notices as follows:
- Halt of Work and Construction notice (31125): Which targets a Shack built of Zinc ( 70 m2) used for cattle breeding, and belongs to citizen Fatima Qatousa.
Notice Number 31125 which targets a sheep breeding Shack
- Halt of Work and Construction notice (31126): Which targets a Shack built of Zinc (200 m2 ) - one floor , belongs to citizen Fatima Qatousa , and was supposed to be a home for a family of 4 , 2 of them are children.

And in April 5th 2021, The Occupation Authorities issued 11 halt of work notices, the following table shows detailed information:

During the past years, the occupation targeted many workshops and businesses at Al-Mhalel area. In numbers, about 44 facilities and businesses were demolished. the targeted businesses provide jobs for tens of families supporters, who lost their sources of income in such a difficult time.
About Deir Qaddis:[1]
Deir Qaddis is located 25 km west Ramallah and bordered by Shabteen (north), Na’alin (west), Kharabtha Bani Harith (east) and Bala’en (south). Deir Qaddis is populated 2452 in 2017, and has a total area of 8,051 dunums , of which 518 are the town’s built up area.
Israeli built illegal colonies “Na’ale” and Nili on the northern area of the town, and “Kiryat Sefer” in the southern area.
The occupation grabbed 2989 dunums of Deir Qaddis lands for the following purposes:

4- Military camps grabbed 130 dunums.

C area: (7,408) dunums.
