• Location: Jericho City.

• The date of the violation: 2-15/ May / 2022.

The aggressor party: the so-called Israeli Civil Administration.

• Affected party: a number of families in the area.

• Details of the violation:

The Israeli occupation authorities, through the so-called Planning and Building Department of the “Israeli Civil Administration,” continue to target the eastern area of the city of Jericho known as “Sama Jericho,” which is close to the bypass road called Route 90, where, over the past four months, a number of families living in Jerusalem have been handed over a number of orders to stop work and construction on the grounds of non-licensing within the so-called “area C” of the Oslo Accord, noting that large parts of that area fall within the organizational structure of Jericho.

The so-called Israeli building inspector, during the month of May 2022, targeted (13) residential villas located within the Sama Jericho area, east of Jericho, through orders to stop construction on the grounds of non-licensing, knowing that most of these buildings were built with the aim of investments.

It is noteworthy that the total of those notifications that were delivered in the Jericho Plain area has reached more than 40 notifications, and this in turn narrows the noose around the city’s residents and limits urban expansion in it, especially in light of targeting the Al-Duk Al-Tahta area as well as the Al-Sateeh area with a large number of notifications that targeting residential buildings there.
