• Details of the violation:

On Sunday morning, 19/6/2022, the so-called construction inspector of the Israeli Civil Administration targeted an agricultural facility in the Ainun area, to the east of the city of Tubas, through a military notification bearing the number (21694) to demolish and remove the barracks within a limited period of time does not exceed 96 hours from the date of the military notification, according to Military Order No. (1797).

It is noteworthy that the targeted barracks is owned by the citizen Burhan Lafi Daraghmeh (43 years), from the city of Tubas. It is built of metal arches and beams with an area of 210 m² and is used for raising 72 sheep. It was established at the beginning of the current year 2022.

The affected farmer told the field researcher of Land Research Center the following:

“I support a family of (7) members, including (2) females, and there are (4) children within the family. Raising sheep is my main and only source of income. Three months ago, I set up a sheep barracks with the aim of raising the sheep that I own, but I was surprised by the dangers of demolition. And the removal order that the occupation army placed at the entrance to the barracks, which refers to the demolition and removal of it, as there is no justification for the occupation and there are no settlements in the place, and even the land is owned according to official (Tapu) papers to my family, and if it was demolished, I do not have money to rebuild it again”.

It is noteworthy that Khirbet Ainun, throughout its vast lands, and according to field follow-up, has witnessed, over the past years, a fierce attack by the Israeli occupation, which in turn has most dangerously threatened more than 34 residential and agricultural facilities there, in addition to the demolition of at least 14 houses. and agricultural facilities on the pretext of non-licensing, it was to the extent that agricultural work there is fraught with dangers in light of the escalation of the occupation’s attacks.

It should be noted that Khirbet Ainun is located 4 km east of the city of Tubas, where the lands of Khirbet are an extension of the city of Tubas, and the Khirbet is inhabited by a number of Bedouin families, who live a basic life in the area and depend on sheep rising and agriculture as their main and only source. Most of the agricultural lands in Khirbet Ainun are militarily closed areas that the occupation army uses to carry out military maneuvers there, while the residents of the area are deprived of the use of their agricultural lands.
