Description:
The Israeli occupation army, accompanied by the so-called building inspector from the Israeli Civil Administration, invaded the Al-Ras Al-Ahmar area on Tuesday morning (14/1/2025). This area is located in the northern part of the Al Bqai'a plain, east of Tammun town. They began delivering military notices to several citizens there, containing orders to stop work on homes and facilities under the pretext of building without permits.
It should be noted that four families residing in that area were targeted, who own 16 facilities ranging between agricultural and residential structures. According to these notices, the occupation has set (12/2/2025) as the date for the Building and Planning Committee meeting, which is headquartered in the " Beit El " settlement, to discuss what they called "demolishing the building or returning the place to its previous state."

Among the Homes and Structures Threatened by the Occupation
It is noted that the affected families reside in the area, and some of them hold farming and land lease contracts for lands classified as "Tabu" (officially registered land). These families rely primarily on sheep farming as their main source of income. Over the past five years, they have been targeted more than four times with demolitions, harassment, and forced displacement. Additionally, the occupation authorities deliberately confiscate their agricultural equipment under the pretext of entering an area the occupation designates as a "closed military zone."
The Israeli occupation claims that Khirbet al-Ras al-Ahmar falls within areas it classifies as closed military zones. As such, the Israeli army carries out demolition operations in the hamlet without prior notice, based on this military order. Khirbet al-Ras al-Ahmar serves as an example of several Bedouin hamlets spread across the Jordan Valley that have become victims of Israeli occupation plans.
It is noted that the al-Ras al-Ahmar area is home to no fewer than 18 families, originally from the nearby town of Tubas, specifically from the Bisharat and Bani Odeh families.
