Halt of Work Notice for Al-‘Ara’ara family in Wad As-Seeq / Ramallah

Violation: Halt of Work notice for a house.

Location: Wad As-Seeq / Ramallah governorate.

Date: September 29th 2020.

Perpetrator: The Israeli Civil Administration.

Victims: Citizen Mohammed Al-‘Ara’ara.

Description:

Tuesday morning, The Israeli Occupation forces accompanied by the civil administration construction officer raided Al-Ka’abneh Bedouin community in Wad As-Seeq east Deir Dibwan in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate , and took pictures of number of houses and facilities previously notified.

The Construction officer wrote a notice for a house built of zinc sheets belong to Mohammd Al-‘Ara’ara from the community  , noting that the house is built of zinc and plastic sheets with a total area of 45 m2 .

According to the military notice number (30816) the occupation set October 14th 2020 as the date of the building and organization session in Beit El military court to decide the fate of the structure.

Noteworthy, in September 2nd 2020, the occupation confiscated two tents belong to Suliman Al-Ka’abneh , and in August 25th , the occupation demolished residential and agricultural structures inside the Bedouin community.

This was preceded by an invasion, and delivery of 26 halt of work notices affecting 20 families from the community.

Recently, Al-Ka’abneh Bedouin community head, Shaikh Abdul Rahman Ka’abneh told LRC:

“The Occupation is trying to empty the area from its indigenous people, noting that people of the community have been living in Wad As-Seeq for more than 40 years, and recently the occupation forces and settlers have been raiding postures and shut them off. However, last may the occupation authorities delivered 26 halt of work notices, preceded by 12 notices last year that targeted 20 families from the community.”

Al-Ka’abneh community composes of 40 families in Wad As-Seeq , most of the families depend mainly on agriculture and cattle breeding for living, the land they are residing is registered in the names of farmers form Deir Dibwan.
