Israeli Occupation Forces demolish 14 structures in the Bedouin communities of East Jerusalem

At early hours of January 02, 2017, a massive force from Israeli Occupation Army backed by military machineries and a staff from Israel Civil Administration raided Wad Snaisil and Bir Al-Maskob Bedouin communities, east Jerusalem and embarked on a wide-range demolition operation. The demolition reached out 13 residences and one agricultural facility.

The demolished houses are in Wad Snaisil , which houses 90 people, 50 of them children: Miqbil Jahalin, Mahmoud Hammad Jahalin, Mousa Hussein Jahalin, Yousef Abu Ouweida, Adel Salman Jahalin, Nohanad Ahmad Bsays, Ali Jahalin, Mousa Miqbil Jahalin.

The destroyed houses in Bir al-Maskoub, which houses 38 people, including 20 children, belong to: Mousa Sa'di, Mohammad Sa'di, Ghada Sa'di, Khalim Mohammad Khalil, Mohammad Bsays.

The chieftain of Wad Snaisil community, Dawoud Jahalin, told Land Research Center the following: " Israeli Occupation Forces demolished our community in 2015. Due to the fact that we have no other place to go to, residents of the are rebuilt their structures and decided to reside there despite all dangers surrounding them. The need to residence was crucial"

He also add: " We sought attorney in 2015 to work on our case and allow citizens to reside in their community. Despite that the community's case is being discussed in Israeli court, the occupation demolished the community."
