Monday morning, 8^th of July 2019, A group of settlers protected by Israeli troops raided a residential building that belongs to Jerusalemites and overlooks Al-Aqsa compound.

The building is located few miles from “Beit Orot” settlement, it is an old building that consists of 3 floors , and 6 apartments, and it turned out that the building was sold under the table to a bro-colonization NGO.

Once settlers announced that they now own the building, a massive group of settlers moved their properties to it under the protection of the occupation police , this is only one of tens of buildings , settlers took over in the old city of Jerusalem by colonial institutions that work with a large budget to take over Palestinian properties in the old city.

The building has a significant location overlooking Al-Aqsa compound and Mount of olives, also close to Mount Scopus and Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood , which are important locations according to Zionism , and call them “Tzurim Valley” , the area witnesses frequent visits by conservative Jews.

Pro- Colonization NGOs took over tens of residences in the holy city of Jerusalem using various techniques . Regardless the method, there is only one aim, which is to make Jew residents more in number than Palestinian residents of the city.

In International Law, Jerusalem is an occupied city since 1967 , and the occupying power is not allowed to buy properties in the holy city even if the owner accepted to make a deal with them.
