In the first day of Eid Al-Adha , 11 August 2019  , the occupation forces and settlers stormed the compound firing sound bombs and rubber bullets towards worshippers.

Noteworthy, few day before Eid Al-Adha , settlers groups have been lobbying Israeli authorities to allow Israeli settlers to enter Al-Aqsa mosque and perform Jewish prayers, the first day of Eid Al-Adha comes with the Jewish holiday of Tisha  Be’Av .

The occupation forces spread in the compound to protect settlers while they storm the mosque, while Muslims gathered close to Al-Mughrabi gate and shouted “God is the Greatest” and  “We will protect Al-Aqsa mosque with our blood”.

The occupation forces attacked Muslim worshippers with sound bombs and rubber bullets , and stormed the mosque in large numbers , and number of injuries were incurred , one of the injurries was  head of Islamic Awqaf.

After the Occupation forces forced Muslim worshippers out of the mosque, about 1100 settlers invaded the mosque to perform Jewish prayers.

Noteworthy, During Jewish festivals, Israeli authorities prohibit Palestinian worshippers or tourists from entering Al-Aqsa compound , and they force Jerusalemites to close their stores , and prohibit Arabs from entering the pathways  that  lead to the compound.

Settlers’ assaults on Al-Aqsa mosque compound increased rapidly after the American President Donald Trump recognized the holy city as the capital of the Israeli state, Israeli government and settlers have been violently trying since then to impose their control over the city.
