During the Day of Atonement, also known of (Yom Kippur), thousands of extremist settlers gathered in the occupied city of Jerusalem , large numbers of settlers headed to the old city towards the wailing wall in Monday October 7th 2019 , where thousands of settlers got together to perform Jewish prayers and celebrations late at night.

Next day Tuesday, large numbers of settlers raided Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of the occupation forces and army, lead by number of ministers and Knesset members such as “Yehuda Glik”.

Special police members spread in Al-Aqsa Mosque compound , they also started checking  Palestinians who tried to enter the mosque.

Tuesday evening , the occupation police closed most main streets in the occupied city of Jerusalem , which affected the lives of Jerusalemites who have to go to schools and workplaces daily. The streets were closed via road blocks and police members spread to make sure that non-Jews won’t be able to pass through . The occupation forces also closed Al-Isawiya village entrance via earth blocks , the closure continued until Wednesday October 4 , the terminal to Day of Atonement.

The occupation police lunched a banning campaign against number of frequent worshippers in Al-Aqsa mosque compound, it is also unadoptable that the occupation authorities are trying to impose a new reality in Al-Aqsa mosque compound, in an attempt to gradually ban Muslims from entering the compound under several pretexts . It was also reflected when Eid Al-Adha came with the “Tesha B’av” , Israeli forces prohibited Muslims from accessing Al-Aqsa compound, assaulted them and carried out a mass arresting campaign, in order to empty the mosque for Israeli settlers.

Noteworthy such violations and provocative tours are organized and encouraged by two organizations “Har Eil movement”[1] and “Return to the temple mount  organization”[2] that called for breaking into Al-Aqsa compound in large numbers.

The two movements impulse its members to perform collective prayers and reciting religious and national hymns at loud in Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
