Violation: Halt of work order on a house .

Location: Furush Beit Dajan / Nablus governorate.

Date: March 4^th 2020.

Perpetrators: The Israeli Occupation Civil Administration.

Victims: Citizen Qadri Bsharat.

Description:

Wednesday morning, March 4^th 2020 , the Israeli occupation forces accompanied by the building and organization officer raided Furush Beit Dajan village northeast Nablus, and served a halt of work order to citizen Qadri Bsharat on his plot in Bab Ad-Diqa location east the village. Reportedly, the targeted house has a total area of 80 m².

Bsharat (43) told LRC the following:

“I went to my house at 10:00 am, and found a halt of work military order hanged on the house that I was constructing for my family (7 members). The targeted house is built on a 3 dunums plot usually planted with beans , and located in C area east the village.

Once I got the military order, I went to Furush Beit Dajan village council , to prepare a legal file and apply for a plea.”

Noteworthy, Furush Beit Dajan village council participated in most workshops related to protecting the Palestinian right to land and housing implemented by LRC , after the center established a Legal-aid unit in the council with European funding in 2016.

25 km to the East of Nablus , Furush Beit Dajan is bordered by Ein Shably and Tammoun (north) , Beit Dajan and Al-‘Aqrabaniya (west), Tammoun (east)and Aj-Jiftlik (south).

Furush Beit Dajan has a total population of (723) people according to 2017 census, The village has a total area of 20,082 dunums , of which 225 dunums are a built up area. The Occupation confiscated (2494) dunums for the following:

• Established in 1971, Humra settlement devoured 1320 dunums and inhabited by 188 settlers.
• Bypass road 57,508,578 devoured 703 dunums.
• Military camps devoured 471 dunums.
• The village was classified C area in Oslo accords.
