The Israeli occupation bulldozers demolish a house in Hai As-Suwana / Occupied Jerusalem

Tuesday, October 29, 2019, the Israeli occupation authorities demolished a house in Hai As-Suwana that overlooks Al-Aqsa Mosque , on the pretext of building without licenses from the Israeli occupation. The targeted house belongs to Khalid Faham , who lives in a family of 6 , 3 of them are children.

The house is an apartment that consists of one floor of bricks and cement with an area of 100 m2, Al-Faham built this house few years ago for his family.

Owner Al-Faham told LRC reporter:

“I built this house few years ago for my family , but in 2017, the occupation municipality showed up and gave me a demolition order on the pretext of building without licenses , I followed up the case with the municipality hoping to rescue my home, all this time I have made so much effort to avoid the demolition , but I failed. In September 19,2019 , the occupation municipality had issued a demolition order.

Tuesday morning, a massive army force accompanied by a bulldozer closed up  the area, and prohibited activists and journalists from approaching the location, before they leveled the house to the ground.”

Noteworthy,  the occupation authorities hinder licensing procedures for Palestinians  in Jerusalem, through imposing difficult conditions, these are policies that aim to displace Jerusalemites and replace them with Israeli Jewish settlers.
