Mr. Mahmoud Al-Ka’abneh (51) told LRC:
“We have been living in “Tel As-Samadi” area for more than 30 years, despite the difficult circumstances and the lack of potentials. The community have always been exposed to the Israeli occupation forces raids , the occupation also imposes restrictions on movement and posturing in the area , during the recent ten years the Israeli occupation demolished our tents five times in a raw, on the pretext of building without licenses in C area. Our consistency in the land provoked the occupation to take new measurements for forced displacement, such as eviction for violating an antiquities site. Noteworthy, the area does not consist of any antiquities, this is only a scheme to get us out of the area.”
“Tel Samadi” area is located to the south east of Aj-Jiftlik, it is a hot spot for Israeli human rights violations, the area consists of two Israeli military camps built on the remains of a military camp that was for the Jordanian army before 1967, in addition to “Massua” settlement that devour vast areas of Aj-Jiftlik , the area is inhabited by Arab Abu ‘Ajaj and Al-Ka’abneh Bedouin community .
