Wednesday, April 21st 2021, a group of colonists attacked Palestinians in the western neighborhood of the occupied city, nearby Jaffa road, with stones and empty bottle glasses, they also attacked Palestinian young men working in super markets around the area. The situation quickly turned into clashes between illegal colonists and local Palestinians, the clashes continued for a while before the Israeli police intervened and arrested several Palestinians.
By the next day, Israeli colonists through social media pages announced that a gathering will take place at 10:00 in Jaffa road’s western entrance, and from that point they will head towards Damascus Gate in order to assault Palestinians (and they say that publicly with no shame).
Massive forces from the Israeli Occupation Police stood Between Damascus Gate and Jaffa gate. And at 10:00, hundreds of illegal radical colonists holding Israeli flags and sticks started marching in the old city of Jerusalem, received by hundreds of Palestinians gathering after Isha prayer and in celebration of the month of Ramadan.
Once colonists arrived, the old city streets were turned into a battleground as vicious clashes erupted. Instead of intervening to calm the situation, the occupation police opened rubber bullets, tear Gas and Waste Water towards Palestinians. The Situation quickly escalated, and Israeli colonists Were walking in groups and attacking Palestinians who defended themselves with everything they could of stones and sticks, the police however soon declared that they “Lost Control” on the situation.
At the moment the situation deescalated, the occupation police arrested many Palestinian young men, while several others were injured in rubber bullets.
Since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, Jerusalem city witnesses several attacks against Jerusalemites, worshippers, and traders. The police violently suppress Palestinians in the old city of Jerusalem, and prohibits gatherings.
