The Israeli website "nana10" featured on January 26, 2017 a report mentioning that the Israeli occupation municipality in Jerusalem formed a team headed by the judge of Magistrate court to look into what they claimed to be illegal construction in Jerusalem.

The website said that the municipality intends-- by 2016-- to demolish 281 residences in the occupied city of Jerusalem.  Fortunately, the demolition of 88 residences of which was halted thanks to a "freeze" order obtained by Jerusalemite attorneys.

This comes in time with the statements of many Israeli parliament and government personalities to demolish "unlicensed structures" and to increase the colonial buildings in Jerusalem as a backlash to the Security Council Resolution number 2334, which requested Israel to freeze the settlement expansion in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The new team is reported to decrease the "delay period" of demolition, meaning that the time given to object to demolition orders will be decreased to make it impossible for affected Palestinians to take legal actions.

According to the data of Land Research Center, the number of demolished structures and residences during 2016 was 272 ones in Jerusalem. Despite the high number, the Israeli municipality still intends to escalate and raise the number.
