Description:
Tuesday , October 26th 2021 , The building inspector at the Israeli Civil Administration raided As-Sateeh area northeast Jericho, and targeted an under construction house with a total area of 80 m2 with military order number (851), under which the occupation authorities ordered the owner to remove the building immediately , on the pretext of building in an antiquities area.
The targeted house belongs to citizen Ahmed Ad-Dhalam (38), who supports a family of 7, 5 children, and 3 females.
The targeted house was built four months ago to provide an appropriate home for the family, at the time there’s a shrink in space where construction is permitted for Palestinians, but the occupation insists on practicing policies to empty all the land for Israeli Colonialism, ignoring the rights of the indigenous people.
During the past years, the occupation targeted 24 houses and agricultural facilities with “halt of work” or “stop destroying antiquities” notices in As-Sateeh area, in addition to demolishing more than 9 houses during the past five years.

As-Sateeh is one of Jericho suburbs , located northeast the city , and has a population of 940 people according to Jericho municipality records, one third of them are from Jerusalem and Hebron , and the rest belong to three families : Samrat , Fhidat and Jama’an , and they have been living at the area since a very long time.
The total area of As-Sateeh in Jericho governorate in 2300 dunums.
And As-Sateeh Contains many religious and historical sites , and it is a special antiquities area.
