The Israeli Occupation Municipality Demolished a house for Jaber Family in Wad Aj-Jouz neighborhood

Violation: Demolishing a house belongs to a Jerusalemite family.

Perpetrators: The Occupation municipality in Jerusalem.

Victims: Citizen Nader Jaber.

Description:

 The Occupation’s municipality staff demolished a house that belongs to citizen Nader Jaber, on the pretext of building without a license in Wad Al-Jouz neighborhood at the old city of Jerusalem.

  In October 23rd 2021, a massive army force accompanied by workers raided the area, threw the components of the house outside, and destroyed the interior walls. Before leaving the location , they told the owner to demolish the exterior walls , or otherwise they will bring in bulldozers to carry out  the demolition , and make him pay demolition costs that usually amount to 100,000 shackles (30 thousand dollars).

Noteworthy, The Occupation’s municipality claimed to serve a demolition order on the door of the house , but the family denied.

 Jaber said that the house was built 40 years ago, and it was the only thing he has from his late parents.

To Avoid the harsh fate of facing both demolition and paying an ex0pensive fine, , Jaber carried out a the demolition with his own hands.

Noting that Jaber had applied for a license, but the Municipality turned him down.
