Violation: Cutting down Olive trees.

Location: Al-Humra – Yatta town / Hebron Governorate.

Perpetrators: Colonists of “Havat Ma’on”.

Victims: ‘Issa and Mohammed Raba’e.

Description:

Wednesday, March 15^th 2023 , illegal colonists carried on an attack against agricultural lands , and cut down olive trees in “Al-Humra” east At-Tawani village , east Yatta , south Hebron governorate.

The targeted lands belong to farmers from Raba’i Family, and they are planted with aging and fruitful olive trees , the targeted trees age more than 40 years.

The targeted lands are a target for colonists coming from “Havat Ma’on” illegal colony and the surrounding outposts , illegal colonists established barns and agricultural facilities illegally on Palestinian lands , and carrying out daily assaults on the surrounding lands.

Colonists used sharp tools to cut down olive branches, and the targeted trees belong to several farmers:

Farmer ‘Issa Raba’i: Illegal Colonists damaged 25 olive trees , aging more than forty years , and affecting a total area of 2 dunums.

The affected citizen said that this is not the first assault on his land, he filed complaints for ten assault previously including cutting trees , stealing harvest , and damaging properties.

And following the latest assaults, ‘Issa went to the Occupation’s police station near Hebron , and filed a complaint, but with very little hope , knowing that the Israeli Juridical system is never fair to Palestinians. Noting that the targeted trees provide a subside source of income for 40 family members.

Farmer Mohammed Raba’i: Colonists damaged 10 Olive trees aging 40 years old , nearby ‘Issa Raba’I plot .

Colonists attacked the plot with the same tools they used against his neighbor , so this was not the first assault.

Al-Humra area is a fertile land belong to citizens from At-Tawani village , and Yatta, and the area is continuously targeted with violations against lands , trees, farmers , and herders to force them to leave their lands and facilitate access to the nearby colony “Maon” which is continuously expanding illegally on Al-Humra Lands.
