The Occupation's bulldoazers Demolish a cattle breeding shack in Beit Sira village / Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate

Violation: Demolition of a sheep barn under the pretext of lacking a permit.

Location: Beit Sira, located west of Ramallah.

Date of the Violation: 06/05/2024.

Perpetrator: The so-called construction inspector of the Israeli Civil Administration.

Affected Party: Farmer Issam Khaled Abdel Qader Anaqwa.

Description:

On the morning of Monday, May 6, 2024, the Israeli occupation army carried out a demolition operation targeting a sheep barn west of Beit Sira village in the Ramallah governorate under the pretext of unlicensed construction.

At 9 a.m., a large force from the Israeli army stormed the Beit Sira area and surrounded a 90 square meter barn made of concrete blocks with a zinc roof, used to house 34 sheep. Accompanied by a civilian bulldozer, they proceeded to demolish the barn entirely. The barn belongs to Issam Khaled Abdel Qader Anaqwa, who supports a family of three, including two females, with no children.

It is worth noting that the barn had been in place since 2023 and was served with a demolition and removal notice in August of the same year. Despite submitting a full application for a permit through legal organizations at the time, the occupation authorities rejected the request, citing the barn’s proximity to the separation wall in the village.

Beit Sira village frequently faces repeated assaults by the Israeli occupation, with regular raids that damage Palestinian property and result in demolitions.

It is also worth noting that the occupation authorities based this demolition order on Military Order No. 1797, issued in 2018, which targets new buildings and structures. This order is aimed at homes occupied for less than a month or buildings that were not completed within six months of their construction.

This military order is one of the most dangerous issued by the occupation, as it targets thousands of homes and structures in Area "C," accelerating the demolition process under the pretext of lacking permits.
