On Tuesday, April, 22th 2025, Al Jalama village located north Jenin raided by the Israel occupation forces with the so-called inspector of building of the Israeli Civil Administration to Al Bayarat area, north village and adjacent to annexation and expansion wall.
The Israeli occupation forces begun to carried out demolition and destruction dozens of agricultural dunams including agricultural greenhouses belong to farmer Wasef Sabri Mahmoud Abu Farha, a resident in Al Jalama village, who supports a family consisting of 5 members, 2 of them are females.
It’s worth mentioning that the affected farmer had received a notice to halt work and construction in 2002, as a legal file was opened and has been followed up by the Jerusalem Center for Aid. Although the case is still under review in the Israeli occupation authorities preempted the legal procedures and carried out the demolition and destruction operations.
The damages included the following:
Ravaging 10 dunams of greenhouses, distributed as follows:
The affected farmer told as follows:
‘’I own a piece of land north Al Jalama and I worked in agriculture over past years and considered my only source of income. In 2022, I had received notice with several farmers to halt work in greenhouses. More than 15 dunams were noticed to halt work and construction, noted that most of greenhouses are old and have existed over past years. as no threat to occupation. We all opened a legal file without making any changes or adding new things, as the case is still under review in the occupation courts. However, I was shocked today about the demolition operation that carried out. We have suffered heavy losses more than 140,000 shekels until now. Not to mention that crops we lost. My financial situation is extremely difficult and I can’t to compensate a small part of the damaged that happened to me.’’
