Israeli occupation forces demolish a residence in Qusra / Nablus governorate

Violation: Demolishing a residence.

Location: Qusra town- Nablus governorate.

Date: November 12 -2018.

Perpetrator: The Israeli occupation army.

Victims: Farmer Musa Hassan.

Description:

Israeli troops and their machineries raided Qusra town  and carried out demolishing a residence for agricultural seasons belong to farmer Musa Hassan (71 years) and has an area of 35m2.

Affected farmer Musa Hassan told LRC observer:

“ Israeli troops showed up and demolished my home on the pretext of building before getting proper licenses .

In July 3 I found a military order on the house’s entrance, so I headed to Milad’s office for legal consultant to prepare a legal file and apply for a permission, But the Israeli occupation civil administration rejected the permission application, Melad’s office cooperated with a lawyer from the Jerusalem Human Rights And Legal Aid center to follow up the case in the Israeli court who was delaying the session, but in November 12 I was shocked when they demolished the house at sudden”

About Qusra:[1]

It is located 23 km to the south of Nablus city and is administered by Qusra village Council. Qusra is surrounded by Jurish (south), Talfit (west), Majdal Bani Fadil (east), and Mizpe Rachel colony (south).

Qusra is inhabited by 5418 people according to 2017 PBS population projections. Its total area is 8886 dunums that include 775 dunums of built up area.

The Israeli occupation confiscated 223 dunums of the village lands for the sake of:

Migdalim colony that devoured 155 dunums. It was built in 1984 and is inhabited by 152 colonists.

Bypass road no. 508 that took over 68 dunums.

According to Oslo Accords, Qusra is divided into area B (4323 dunums) and area A (4563 dunums).
