Wednesday morning, massive army forces raided Ras Khamees neighborhood in Shu’fat town north occupied Jerusalem, accompanied by bulldozers the occupation forces demolished two stores on the pretext of building without a license . Reportedly, the stores are a one floor building (each one of the stores 75 m2).
The stores were a donation for people of the neighborhood, and the donor is unknown, and were given to be used for public interest. One of the stores was used for trash containers, and the other one was used as a store for fire extinguishers in case fire erupted in the neighborhood, which is located behind an Israeli roadblock, and reaching it is not easy in such emergencies.
An eyewitness testified:“Vehicles related to the Occupation police and municipality raided the area one month ago and distributed military orders for some buildings (including the stores) on the pretext of building without a license, the occupation decided that the buildings should be demolished by the owners.”
At the same day, the Occupation’s bulldozers demolished an under-construction building that was supposed to contain 4 under construction apartments, each one has a total area of 160 m2. No one mentioned the owner’s name in an attempt to protect him/ her. Noteworthy, one month ago the occupation municipality distributed demolition orders that targeted several structures including this one , in case the owner was revealed , the occupation authorities will make him/her pay demolition costs.
During the past few years, the occupation demolished several buildings in Ras Al-Khamees Neighborhood on the pretext of building without a license.
